Project Phoenix Overview

Over the past few weeks, we've launched one of the most significant integrations in our company's history. By combining PFX's leadership in pet specialty distribution with ASC's expertise in cold chain and 3PL logistics, we're creating a powerhouse of service, innovation, and operational excellence.

Highlights from the First 100 Days:

 

  • Combining Top Talent: Recent leadership updates reflect the strength and collaboration of our newly combined teams.
  • Streamlining Operations: We're blending best practices, improving workflows, and optimizing routing for efficiency and growth.
  • Enhancing IT Infrastructure: Thanks to our IT team, led by Seth Mayers, Phil Brunner, and Santos Cardenas, integration is progressing smoothly.
  • Launching Project Phoenix: A symbol of resilience, renewal, and transformation, this initiative represents our shared future. Shoutout to Michelle Whitehouse and the IMO team for leading the charge.

DCs that will be consolidated include: 
  • Fife, WA → Tacoma, WA
  • Denver, CO → Denver, CO
  • Whittier, CA → Fontana, CA
  • Scranton, PA → Cumberland, RI & Denver, PA
  • Des Plaines, IL → Bartlett, IL (PFX merging into ASC DC)

We've identified five key workflows essential to the integration effort. Specialized teams have been assigned to lead each:

  1. Cold Chain Logistics
  2. Distribution Center Consolidation
  3. Cross-Dock & Route Optimization
  4. Neighborhood Pet Reboot
  5. 3PL Operations
